 Medical Conditions

There are now many health conditions which are automatically accepted with no medical assessment required or additional cost.

If you have a condition which does not fall within those automatically accepted, then you can apply for the condition to be covered.  The pre-existing medical line (Travel Guard) phone number  is 0800 367 244.

A $40 fee applies (paid by credit card) if a condition is accepted for cover. No fee is charged if the condition is declined.

Travelex Foreign Exchange is also available from the Police and Families Credit Union.


Making a claim

Urgent assistance overseas

Travel Guard™ provides access to a highly trained team of assistance personnel (including medical professionals) who are available 24 hours a day to assist you with medical emergencies and other travel related problems you may experience overseas. You can contact Travel Guard™ from anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day on 64 9 359 1678 (reverse charges where available), please quote your policy number when calling.
